Water Pressure Gauge

The pressure gauge on the large water tank in the basement of the house I grew up in. Charles Smith Mersick was born in New York City in 1840. After education in New Haven and work in the hardware and metal business, he formed what would become C.S Mersick & Co. Conduit Time

Given a large trench in the front yard, installing a conduit pre-wired with Romex, coax, cat5, heavy gauge 12vdc, and speaker wire plus a pull-string seemed to make sense. We've built it with junction boxes on each exterior end plus two access ports on either side of the sidewalk.

Dead in the Water

Our engine failed this afternoon coming out of Manchester harbor; good practice anchoring in a hurry. After some diagnostic work we discovered these parts inside the fuel bladder had popped out of place and blocked the gas flow.

Frugal

My Grandparents came from very modest means. Both were frugal and careful with spending. For example, my Grandmother's kitchen knives had a nearly limitless lifespan as they could be sharpened by hand many, many times without need to buy a new one!
